Fashion Designer, Leah Brown, was born and raised in Maurepas, Louisiana. She went to predominantly white schools and experienced hardships as well as racism growing up. Leah learned to sew at the age of 9 years old at the hands of her Great-grandmother, the Late Elizabeth Ashton. She grew attached to fashion design after taking Home Ec classes in high school. She went to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA and earned an Associate’s in Culinary Arts and Family and Consumer Science. She later went on to obtain degrees in Medical Assistantship, Phlebotomy, CPR, Event Planning, Bridal Specialist, Make-up Artist, and eventually Fashion Design. Leah is the proud owner of Made By Leah B LLC.
